Ingredients

Cooking time: Approximately 30 minutes
Ingredients:

For 4 people:

  • 450g of Frozen Green Peas
  • 1 Onion
  • Appropriate amount of Butter or Coconut Oil
  • 500ml of Water
  • 2 teaspoons of Bouillon
  • Appropriate amount of Salt
  • Appropriate amount of Pepper
How to make it:

1/ Prepare the Onions: Finely chop the onions.

2/ Sauté the Onions: Heat the butter (or coconut oil) in a pot, add the chopped onions, and sauté until fragrant.
3/ Add the Green Peas: When the onions become translucent, add the frozen green peas and stir-fry briefly.
4/ Simmer: Add the water and bouillon. Once it comes to a boil, reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 20 minutes.
5/ Blend Until Smooth: Remove the pot from the heat and blend the soup with a hand blender until smooth.
6/ Season: Season with salt and pepper to taste, then return to the heat and warm gently.

7/ Add Toppings (Optional): Top with crispy fried bacon, croutons, or a swirl of cream if you like.

🌟 Little Extras to Make It Special🌟

⭐️ Homemade Croutons Made Easy: Cut a slice of bread into 1 cm cubes, mince some garlic, and fry them in a hot pan with olive oil or butter until golden and crispy.

⭐️ Flavorful Bacon Topping: For this recipe, fry French bacon (lardons) in a pan until crispy, then sprinkle with parsley for a delicious finishing touch.🥓

⭐️ Use Your Favorite Oil: When sautéing the onions, feel free to use any oil you like at home, such as salad oil or olive oil.

⭐️ Add a Potato for Comfort: Adding a potato to the soup gives it a slightly more comforting, hearty flavor.🥔

⭐️ Make It Creamy: If you like a creamier taste, try adding a little milk, fresh cream, or crème fraîche — experiment and find your favorite!❤️
