A very simple soup made with frozen green peas. Even if you don’t have a lot of fresh green peas, you can always make frozen ones! It can be enjoyed hot or cold, so you can enjoy it according to the season or your mood. Putting some crispy fried bacon on top will add an accent to the flavor.

    Frozen green peas
  • 1
    Onion
  • 1
    Butter or coconut oil - appropriate amount
  • 500 ml
    Water
  • 2
    Teaspoons Bouillon
  • 1
    Salt Appropriate amount
  • 1
    Pepper Appropriate amount
Cooking time: Approximately 30 minutes
Ingredients:

For 4 people

  • Frozen green peas 450g
  • 1 onion
  • Butter or coconut oil – appropriate amount
  • Water 500ml
  • Bouillon 2 teaspoons
  • Salt Appropriate amount
  • Pepper Appropriate amount
How to make it:

1/ Finely chop the onions.
2/ Heat the butter in a pot, add the onions and fry.

3/ When the onions become translucent, add frozen green peas and stir-fry.

4/ Add water and bouillon, and when it starts to boil, lower the heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 20 minutes.

5/ Remove the pot from the heat and stir with a hand blender to make it smooth.

6/ Adjust the taste with salt and pepper, return to the heat and warm until done.
7/ If you like, you can top it with crispy fried bacon, croutons or cream.

★Croutons can be easily made by cutting a slice of bread into 1cm cubes, mincing garlic, and frying them in a hot frying pan with olive oil or butter.
★In this recipe, French bacon (lardon) is fried in a frying pan and topped with parsley.
★When frying onions, you can use whatever oil you like at home, such as salad oil or olive oil!
★If you add a potato, it will give it a slightly more relaxing taste.
★Also, if you like a creamy taste, you can try adding a little milk, fresh cream, crème fraîche, etc. Please try various things according to your preference!
