A cute cake using cherries, a summer fruit. The refreshing cherry flavor and moist dough blend well, allowing you to enjoy a slight sweetness.

  • 200 g
    Cherry
  • 80 g
    Butter
  • 3
    Eggs
  • 100 g
    Sugar
  • 1
    Teaspoon vanilla sugar or vanilla extract
  • 80 g
    Flour
  • 125 ml
    Milk
  • 1
    Teaspoon dry yeast
  • 20 g
    Almond slices (if available) Appropriate amount
Cooking time: Approximately 60 minutes
Ingredients:

For 4 people

  • Cherry 200g
  • Butter 80g
  • 3 eggs
  • Sugar 100g
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar or vanilla extract
  • Flour 80g
  • Milk 125ml
  • 1 teaspoon dry yeast
  • Almond slices (if available) Appropriate amount (about 20g)
How to make it:

1/ Wash the cherries, remove the stems, and remove the seeds with a straw. Or cut it in half and remove the seeds.

 

2/ Melt the butter a little in the microwave to soften it.
3/ Put eggs, sugar, and vanilla sugar in a bowl and mix with a whisk.

4/ Add flour and milk little by little and mix.

5/ Add melted butter and dry yeast and mix again.

6/ Add the cherries and mix.

7/ Grease a cake mold (20cm) with butter (not listed) and pour the batter into it.

8/ Sprinkle with sliced almonds.

9/ Bake in an oven preheated to 180℃ for 35 to 40 minutes.
10/ Once baked, let it cool for a while, then remove the cake from the mold and transfer it to a plate.

★It’s also delicious with powdered sugar or whipped cream if you like.
★We use stainless steel straws to remove the pits from the cherries, as plastic straws are too soft.
★We use a 20cm diameter cake mold.
★The baking time may vary depending on the oven model and conditions, so please adjust the baking time yourself.
★Accompanied by coffee or tea. Also great for dessert after a meal.
