⭐️Tips for Perfect Milchreis⭐️

⭐️Top It Your Way: Add your favorite fruits, such as apples, blueberries, bananas, or kiwis, for extra flavour and colour. This recipe uses cherry sauce and cinnamon sugar as toppings, but feel free to get creative!

⭐️Enjoy It Warm or Cold: Milchreis is delicious both warm and cold. Warm Milchreis, topped with cinnamon sugar or a dollop of fruit compote, is perfect for cozy moments. Served cold, it transforms into a refreshing dessert, paired with fresh fruit or a drizzle of sauce.

⭐️Plain and Simple Comfort: If you prefer a slightly sweet and simple taste, Milchreis is satisfying on its own. It’s also a comforting option when you catch a cold or have a reduced appetite. In our family, my eldest daughter, who isn’t fond of Japanese okayu (a simple rice porridge), always requests Milchreis when she has a cold.😊

⭐️Choosing the Right Rice: In Germany, you’ll find rice specifically labeled for Milchreis, which has smaller grains and a sticky texture similar to Japanese rice. Japanese rice works wonderfully as a substitute. Occasionally, I also use risotto rice, which makes equally satisfying results.
