This fresh and vibrant salad combines earthy beets with sweet and tangy apples for a perfectly balanced flavor. Tossed in a light maple syrup and olive oil dressing, it’s both refreshing and satisfying. For an extra crunch and a hint of richness, try adding walnuts or your favorite nuts!

  • 100 g
    Boiled beets
  • 30 g
    Apple
  • 3.75 ml
    Lemon juice
  • A moderate amount of walnuts or almonds (if available)
  • 3.75 ml
    Maple syrup
  • 3.75 ml
    Olive oil
  • Salt Appropriate amount
  • Pepper Appropriate amount
Cooking time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:

For 4 people

  • 400g of Boiled beets
  • 1 Apple
  • 1 tablespoon of Lemon juice
  • A moderate amount of Walnuts or Almonds (if available)
  • 1 tablespoon of Maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon of Olive oil
  • An appropriate amount of Salt
  • An appropriate amount of Pepper
How to make it:

1/ Prepare the Apple: Cut the apple into 1cm cubes, place them in a bowl, add lemon juice, and mix to prevent browning.
2/ Dice the Beets: Cut the boiled beets into 1cm cubes and add them to the bowl with the apples. Gently mix to combine.
3/ Chop the Walnuts: Roughly chop the walnuts into small pieces.

4/ Assemble the Salad: Add the chopped walnuts, maple syrup, olive oil, salt, and pepper to the bowl with the apples and beets. Mix well until evenly coated, then serve.

Perfect Pairings: This salad pairs beautifully with sautéed meat or fish as a side dish. You can also enjoy it as a light lunch with a slice of crusty bread.
