Cooking time: Approximately 45 minutes
Ingredients:

For 4 people

  • 1kg of Potato
  • 100ml of Milk
  • 100ml of Fresh cream
  • 50-60g of Butter

How to make it:

1/ Prep the Potatoes: Peel the potatoes and cut them into large pieces.

2/ Boil Until Tender: Place the potatoes in a pot, add enough water to cover them, and season with coarse salt or a pinch of regular salt. Simmer over medium heat until tender.

3/ Warm the Dairy (Key Step!): Warm the milk and fresh cream in the microwave.

4/ Remove Moisture: Once the potatoes are soft, drain the water, return the pot to low heat, and stir briefly to evaporate excess moisture.

5/ Mash with Butter: Add the butter and mash the potatoes using a masher.

6/ Mix and Season: Gradually add the warm milk and fresh cream, mixing well. Season with salt, pepper, and a touch of nutmeg if desired.

⭐️Make It Even Better: Mashed potatoes Secrets⭐️

Warm milk and cream make all the difference!: Always use warm milk and fresh cream for the best texture. Serve your mashed popatoes warm for maximum enjoyment.

Choose your dairy to match your taste!: Use milk, fresh cream, or crème fraîche depending on your preference. For a richer taste, go with fresh cream or crème fraîche; for a lighter version, milk is the way to go.

More butter, more flavor!: The more butter you add, the richer and creamier your purée will be. Adjust to your liking!

A family favorite that disappears fast!: This dish is a staple in our home—I always make 1kg of potatoes, and it’s gone in no time! If I ever have leftovers (which is rare), I use them for the next day’s lunchbox or as a side for dinner.

A side dish that goes well with many dishes!:
