Strawberry season has arrived once again.
This time, I would like to share a collection of strawberry desserts.
In a previous post, I focused on strawberry season in Germany and the simple charm of Erdbeerkuchen ( 👉 Strawberry Season in Germany: A Sweet Taste of Spring).
This time, I take a slightly different approach, bringing together a variety of dessert recipes that feature strawberries.🍓
From a French-style terrine and an American cheesecake to a classic German strawberry cake, and even a lightly adapted tiramisu—each dessert comes from a different culture. Yet, the gentle sweetness and acidity of strawberries add a light and refreshing touch to them all. Whether they take center stage or are simply added as a finishing touch, strawberries have a way of transforming a dessert.
Now, let’s take a look.
🍓Strawberry Rhubarb Jam
A simple jam that highlights the natural flavors of both strawberries and rhubarb.
The sweetness of strawberries is balanced by the gentle tartness of rhubarb, creating a fresh and well-rounded taste. A hint of mint adds a subtle refreshing note to the finish. It’s perfect not only on bread or yogurt, but also as an accent for desserts—something you’ll want to make again and again during strawberry season.
I first came up with this recipe after seeing piles of fresh strawberries and rhubarb at a market in Germany, and decided to combine them.

🍓No-Bake Strawberry Mousse Terrine

A strawberry terrine with a smooth and delicate texture.
Bavarois is a classic French dessert made with whipped cream and strawberry purée, known for its light, mousse-like texture. The natural sweetness of strawberries, combined with a gentle acidity, creates a refreshing finish. Its elegant appearance also makes it perfect for special occasions or entertaining. Chilling it well enhances both its smooth texture and lightness.
This dessert holds a special memory for me—it was the first time I tasted it when my husband made it for my birthday.

🍓No-Bake Strawberry Cheesecake

A creamy and smooth strawberry cheesecake that requires no baking. By adding a mix of berries, it also becomes visually vibrant and colorful.
With a biscuit base, a filling made from cream cheese, yogurt, and a purée of three kinds of berries, along with the fresh sweet-tart flavor of strawberries, it offers a simple yet satisfying taste. Since it is simply chilled to set, it’s easy to prepare even in warmer weather, making it a light and enjoyable dessert.
This is one of our family’s regular favorites—the freshness of strawberries keeps it from feeling too heavy. I originally created this recipe to enjoy something refreshing even in the heat of Dubai.

🍓German Strawberry Cake (Erdbeerkuchen)

A classic strawberry cake often seen in Germany from spring to early summer.
Erdbeerkuchen consists of a light sponge base topped with vanilla pudding, fresh strawberries, and a glossy glaze—simple yet full of charm. It allows you to fully enjoy the natural sweetness and juiciness of strawberries. When served chilled, it becomes even more refreshing.
In Germany, it’s a seasonal staple, commonly found in bakeries and homes during strawberry season. In our family, it’s also one of the desserts we naturally come back to every year.

🍓A Simple Twist: Light Chocolate Tiramisu

Lastly, a slightly different take on tiramisu.
This version adds a touch of chocolate richness to the classic Italian dessert made with coffee and mascarpone, resulting in a lighter finish. This time, I added fresh strawberries on top—an idea that came from my daughter. Their gentle acidity brings a fresh contrast, making the dessert feel lighter and offering a slightly different experience.
Strawberries may not be the main element here, but even a small addition can change the overall impression—that’s part of their charm.

Strawberries are wonderful not only as the star of a dessert, but also as a simple finishing touch that can completely change its impression.
In our family, we enjoy a variety of strawberry desserts depending on the season and our mood at the time.
Their bright red color brings a sense of joy while preparing them, and they are always well received when served to guests, which makes the experience even more special.
They are also my younger daughter’s favorite fruit, so during this season, strawberry desserts are something we simply can’t do without.
I hope you find a favorite among these recipes to enjoy in your own kitchen.😊
